If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, “thank you,” that would suffice. ~Meister Eckhart
“Thank you.” These two, short words contain a heart that is full, humbled, and grateful to all who have given to support us on this new journey. I feel as if I have a whole village behind me, waving, smiling, sending me on my way. It’s a joyful image I will hold dear.
I preached a sermon this weekend at Iona School for Ministry at Camp Allen on the important ministry of encouragement. Now I am the blessed recipient of your ministry. You all have shored me up, because to be honest, I’ve had a few days of trembling knees and wringing hands. Your prayers, your kindnesses, your donations, and your hugs have been such beautiful encouragement.
So, my prayer this month has consistently been, “Thank you.”
